Our People

All of our staff are employed directly by us – we don’t use any sub-contractors. This means we are in complete control of their training, we know the capabilities of each and every member of the team, and we can ensure they all work to the very high quality and safety standards demanded by the company.

Every member of our team has the relevant qualifications, training and certification to do their job – whether they are working with asbestos, working at height, driving diggers or JCBs, working on scaffolding or using specialist concrete cutting equipment. We also arrange annual refresher training as a reminder and in case of any relevant changes to health and safety legislation.

Health and Safety

As you would expect from a professional contractor, we have put strict health and safety procedures in place, which are our staff are trained in and comply with, and a proportion of our team have been awarded health and safety diplomas. This is especially important in our industry as our staff are working in high voltage, high risk environments.

Certifications

Every member of the team is authorised to work in a substation up to 11kV, and some of our staff are also authorised to work in substations up to 132kV. They have received special in-depth training from Western Power Distribution to enable them to work in these high-risk environments.

Our site supervisors are properly trained and qualified in site supervision, ensuring they can manage sites effectively and in accordance with the latest health and safety standards.

For those instances where we are likely to come into contact with asbestos, we have made sure that some members of our team are qualified in asbestos removal and disposal, and Elliott Nash himself is a qualified asbestos surveyor.
